Last nights self defense class was a blast. I have to say that I was, at first, a little worried that no one was going to show up because of the Open House thing going on downtown, but to my surprise, the turn out was great. The instructor Robert Littlejohn was very informative and very funny. He taught us so many techniques and how to use everyday things you would find in a purse like a set of car keys, and surprisingly, a credit card. I feel like this project was much more than just a project, it was a way for us to help our community. More importantly, to help women protect themselves if the situation ever occurs that they need to use these newly learned techniques.
