There's been some drama between me and the school person whom I've been emailing about trying to find a location for our project. I wish I could post the emails between the two of us, but I don't want to get anyone in trouble. I've felt completely blocked by this person to find a location on campus for our project, in which would bring great public recognition to our campus, but thankfully we've got it all sorted. Thanks to Bridget knowing some of the people on the "inside" we've successfully secured a location on NOVEMBER 20, 2008 FROM 5 TO 8 P.M.
Ok, so today (Thursday 11-06-2008) Bridget and I (mostly Bridget though) got the pamphlets printed - I'll make some more copies though, because 50 was not enough, at all. So, I'm thinking that next Tuesday (11-11-2008) our group is going to come together to pass out the material on campus and in the community. We're going to put some (probably 100 or so) pamphlets in the campus mailboxes, and then go litter the community with all of our stuff. We're going to spend a few hours putting stuff up, and we'll take photos to put in our project presentation.
I'm still a little "turned off" about the whole idea that a student who wants to put on an event, cannot unless they know someone, who knows someone, who knows someone else.... it's ridiculous.

I also emailed Stephen Snyder, the guy who does all the public press releases on campus. Trying to get the word out to campus that we're having this, and that it's free - and all that jazz.
----Word
Thanks, Tyler. I'll do what I can to help publicize this activity.

Can't wait to be there guys! My roommate and I are looking forward to the self defense course. :D
hey guys! I just got an email from the Dean of Continuing Education who is excited about your project. She asked that we send her a roster of attendees so that they can report on the event to the Board of Regents next semester. So, please have a sign-in sheet. I think first and last names will be sufficient.
THanks!
